Establishments primarily engaged in retailing a general line of pre-packaged food products. Do not require a Food Licence, but may require a Supermarket Licence from the NEA.

Examples: Cold Storage, NTUC

GENERAL MERCHANDISE

Establishments retailing a general line of merchandise which may or may not include grocery items

Examples: Isetan, Takashimaya

SPECIALISED RETAIL

Establishments retailing a specific product category or brand

Examples: G2000, Wallet Shop

HEALTH & PERSONAL CARE

Establishments retailing health and personal care products which may include pharmacies, cosmetics, beauty supplies and health appliances

Examples: Unity Pharmacy, GNC

PREMIUM RETAIL

Establishments who offers products which are priced at the top 5 – 10 percentile relative to competitors in the same product category

Examples: Cartier, Gucci
